Children's
books are books that can fill a preschool child's mind
with wonder, preteens continue to explore their curiosity,
and teens obtain a deeper understanding than 4 to 6 hours
of television per day. Kids need a chance to explore their
world through the boundless imagination of old and new books:
Let Children be Children.
Children's books have been made into a number of movies:
Harry Potter, The Brother's Grimm, Lemony Snicket and
many more. By reading books, kids do not have to limit their
imagination to the silver screen and through books, children
of all ages can have a far more personal experience with a
simple printed page.
My Children's Bookstore tries to remind us all of the
beauty of reading books for children of all ages. Though some
suggested reading* is presented for children's books,
a book can be as personal as a child. A curious preteen, teen
or even a child in preschool needs to explore their own world
to find those books which comfort, teach, restore and captivate
the imagination.
It is fascinating how many children's books, both new
and used books, now cost less than a child's ticket
to a movie. The time has come to re-explore the energy and
depth of children's books. I hope you enjoy your children's
bookstore.
